Miami Art Week is a week that appreciates contemporary art. It hosts various different events and with over 82,000 visitors, museum visitors and collectors coming from all over the world it is a highly important art festival. The importance of Miami Art Week was highlighted once Swiss watchmaker Hublot returned with an incredibly beautiful timepiece.

Hublot unveiled the collaboration with French/ Venezuelan artist Carlos Cruz-Diez. This collaboration produced the spectacular “Cruz-Diez Bi-Dimensional Research 1959–2015” honouring the artist who is held in such high regard in the world of art. Hublot used Carlos Cruz-Diez’s as inspiration to take on the Latin market in an Hublot project aimed only at the South American market.

Hublot considered everything, including a design for automotive-themed and some that are inspired by art such as Carlos Cruz-Diez. For those who are unfamiliar with his artwork, Cruz-Diez’s work is known as “kinetic art”, using various different shapes to reconsider one’s line of vision.

Many of those who are fanatical about his work are unused to the Diez’s mixture of art, science, neurology, creating a different interpretation in brain. The different interpretation comes from the various lights, colour and spatial awareness between his work. Hublot have now used some of the most popular artistic themes in order to personify them using the limited edition Hublot brand.

The most influential limited edition watch out of the collection is the Hublot Classic Fusion Tourbillon Cruz-Diez timepiece featuring a visually stunning combination of yellow, orange, purple, green and blue. The watches feature a beautiful 45mm canvas to feature the electric colour combination.

One of the less exclusive watches is the Hublot Class Fusion Cruz-Diez men’s watches that also use the same face size. It is available in a 19 carat gold, or a black ceramic. This design uses the use of colour again, but instead focusing on “mechanical chromo-interference” dials in order to separate this model from the rest.

For those with a love for art and an eye for fashion the Hublot, Carlos Cruz-Diez combination will send waves through the luxury timepiece world. It is the ultimate crossover of desire and luxury.
