We pre­pared sev­eral uses the ori­gins of this com­pli­ca­tion. The minute repeater invented in 1750 by Thomas Mudge was cre­ated to be the time at night, because at that time no elec­tric­ity; there was no other way to have a notion of time. Oth­ers argue that this tech­nique is par­tic­u­larly used to give time to the visu­ally impaired.

In all cases, the minute repeater is one of the most learned and sophis­ti­cated in haute hor­logerie com­pli­ca­tions. Only a few fac­to­ries can boast of really mas­ter and Jaeger Lecoul­tre, strong know-how of more than 180 years has even cre­ated over 200 tem­plates in dif­fer­ent repetition.

With this hand Jaeger LeCoul­tre Mas­ter Minute Repeater and skele­tonized dial it real­izes the com­plex­ity of the watch, and you can eas­ily turn the famous complication.

The sound of the watch that is char­ac­ter­ized by four main com­po­nents: the vol­ume, dura­tion, its rich­ness and accu­racy. All mea­sure­ments of these para­me­ters are duly made to get the best. A pow­er­ful and incred­i­ble model

In 2005, the 947 cal­iber caused a sen­sa­tion in the Mas­ter Minute Repeater Antoine LeCoul­tre watch. Indeed, sup­port for stamps was welded sap­phire crys­tal of the watch to take advan­tage of the prop­er­ties of speed sap­phire glass to increase the inten­sity and purity of the sound emit­ted vibration.

After sev­eral years of research to cre­ate a sound as pure as pos­si­ble, Jaeger-LeCoultre has devel­oped a com­pletely new form of stamp, used for the first time on the Mas­ter Minute Repeater 2007.
