New Luxury watch Aquascope — JeanRichard


Jean­Richard launches the new lux­ury watch Aquas­cope for cel­e­brat­ing 150 years of rela­tions between Japan and Switzerland.

The Swiss watch­maker Jean­Richard is unbe­liev­ing a new lux­ury watch col­lec­tion. Aquas­cope, cre­ated to cel­e­brate the 150th anniver­sary of rela­tions between Switzer­land and Japan. The spe­cial design of the dial is inspired by a famous Japan­ese wood­cut by the famous artist Kat­sushika Hokusa, author of numer­ous works, includ­ing “The Great Wave off Kana­gawa” from the series “The 36 Views of Mount Fuji”.

Kat­sushika Hokusai

Kat­sushika Hoku­sai was a Japan­ese artist, painter and print­maker of the Edo period. He was influ­enced by painters such as Sesshu, and other styles dipit­tura Chi­nese Born in Edo, Hoku­sai is best known for being the author of the wood­block print series 36 Views of Mount Fuji, which is also part of the famous print, The Great Wave at off Kana­gawa, cre­ated around 1820.
