The perpetual calendar watch Montblanc Meisterstuck Calendar constantly displays the exact date and requires no manual adjustment at the end of the month with less than 31 days or in leap years. Indeed, the mechanism jumps directly from June 30 to July 1 or February 28 to March 1.
This function requires a large number of flip cams and a refined design which enable mechanically programmed different month lengths and returning on February 29 every four years. If Montblanc Meisterstuck Calendar has always reserve sufficient power, it will not require any manual correction before the year 2100. However, if the watch has not been worn for a relatively long time, it is easy to quickly adjust the signs to the current date using small markers hidden in the middle of the housing. This timepiece with perpetual calendar is driven by the mechanical movement with automatic winding caliber MB 29.15, which oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour.
Displays the Meisterstuck Heritage are harmoniously placed on the dial: the date at 3 o’clock, day of the week and the month 9:00 to 24:00. The leap-year cycle can be accessed using a blue triangle arranged on the inner scale display the month as the leap year is highlighted by a 4 digit red. At 6:00, the counter of the moon phase on its upper edge indicates the age of the moon expressed in number of days.
The blued hands of calendar gently contrast with the color of a silver domed dial with sunray pattern white. Golden hour and minute hands are in perfect harmony with the case diameter of 39 mm crafted in 18K red gold while the sapphire crystal caseback reveals under the self-winding caliber 29.15 MB. Each copy of this watch is subjected to extensive testing that extend not less than 500 hours in the Le Locle. This set of procedures, specially developed by Montblanc, in particular enables the errors in the accuracy of the measurement of time, the sealing performance under various circumstances, the strength and functionality of the various indications.
