ONE WORD ORDER: THE ACCURACY
This year, the main theme of A. Lange & Sohne is precision. The display of moon phases of the GRAND LANGE 1 MOON PHASE, manufactured by a patented coating reproduces the period of new moon to new moon with an accuracy of 99.9978 percent. When it was properly assembled and assumed that the watch runs continuously, the next objective was that the display should be corrected by one day every 122.6 years.
High accuracy is obtained by displaying moon phases RICHARD LANGE PERPETUAL CALENDAR “Terraluna”, which is integrated for the first time in A. Lange & Sohne watch as the side movement. The display consists of three discs. Visible through a round opening in the starry sky disc as the moon revolves around the earth counterclockwise. The mechanism reproduces the lunar month of 29 days, 12 hours, 44 minutes and 3 seconds so precisely that it takes 1,058 years before the display is corrected one day. The two springs in the double barrel of this watch deliver a power reserve of 14 days and the constant force and escapement maintains a stable level of accuracy over the entire period.
The new 1815 VORTEX is also designed with superior accuracy. It combines the stop-seconds mechanism A.Lange & Sohne with the manual composition ZERO-RESET, which is also patented. With this combination, the watch can be set with high accuracy.
A. Lange & Sohne has also presented the rose gold versions of , presented in 2011, and the LANGE 1 TOURBILLON PERPETUAL, launched a year later. The collection is complemented by two versions of the jewelery SAXONIA: white gold case set with diamonds, brown or pearl dials and bracelets crocodile.
