At Baselworld Planet 2014, the Maison was founded in the year 1848 in La Chaux-de-Fonds presented the restricted OMEGA Seamaster in Limited Edition of Platinum.
For the first time, the worlds of ceramic and sapphire crystal were adorned with diamonds. Given the complexity of its processing this timepiece has been created in a first limited edition of just 8 pieces.
E ‘equipped with the OMEGA Co-Axial caliber 8615, self-winding mechanical movement with bidirectional GMT complication. E ‘equipped with a Co-Axial escapement, has a balance spring in silicon Si14, 2 barrels mounted in series, an oscillating mass and balance bridge in red gold 18kt. It is decorated with Côtes and a power reserve of approximately 60 hours.
The modernism of this clock starts with the etching of the ceramic using a special 5-axis laser that ensures the accuracy and the shape of the cavity. The openings are filled with exclusive Liquidmetal alloy platinum whose excess is removed before polishing of the workpiece. The diamonds are then set into the PT850 alloy using the traditional technique of embedding diamonds. The diamonds (diamonds 113 for a total of 2.69 carats) are then embedded in the alloy PT850 using their traditional technique of embedding. The diamonds are positioned either along the sloping edges of the platinum case, polished and brushed is on the glossy black ceramic bezel where you can admire 12 baguette-cut diamonds on the scale trapezoidal GMT and a brilliant cut diamond in the triangle hours to 12/24.
OMEGA logo are embedded with 31 brilliant diamonds
Under the domed and anti-reflective scratch resistant sapphire crystal stands out in polished black ceramic dial with numbers, hands and indices in 18 carat white gold. On the sapphire crystal case back, embedded on the Omega logo, there are 31 other diamonds.
The Omega Seamaster, water resistant to -600 meters, is completed by a black alligator strap with integrated stitching and platinum folding clasp in platinum 950. As a plus, also comes a second black rubber strap, accompanied by an appropriate tool to perform autonomously replacement. It is delivered in a special wooden packaging.
