Watch built to survive almost anything!
Victorinox is celebrating its 130th anniversery with a watch that shares same unique values of swiss Army Knife: Sturdy, durable and stylish. The watch is called I.N.O.X and according to Victorinox the watch has survived above one hundred toughness tests and not just any toughness test, being run over by a 64- ton tank over a concrete kind of tests. Heavy weight is not the only thing it can survive, it has potential to survive harsh temperatures up to 51° C to +71 ° C and it was even thrown in a sandstorm for couple of hours.
The reason why the watch is so strong is due to its solid stainless steel monobloc case, bulged shoulders around the crown and sapphire crystal inset in it which prevents from head-on impacts. There is also an option of silicon bumper which can be used to make it even more protected against brutal situations. Though it is quite tough but it is also quit big in size with a 43mm case. It will also sit high on wrist as it is quite thick and if you will be using nylon and silicon bumper it will be quite visible for sure.
Out of all tests 30 of them were designed to see if the watch is built to last or not and I.N.O.X survived all of them. The watch will happily survive a 10 meter fall on a concrete surface. It is water resistant up to 200m (660ft) making it perfect for people who like some deep diving. Additionally, in a test it also survived corrosive chemicals like solvent oils, cleaning products and gasoline. This watch is perfect for those manly people who like tough watches that can survive their tough routine.
Apart from being a sturdy watch, I.N.O.X is also quite stylish with Swiss-made Rondo 715 quartz movement. Victorinox I.N.O.X comes with 3 different color dials including black, green and blue. It keeps accurate time due to Swiss-made Rondo 715 quartz movement.
Victorinox has made some critical design decisions to create this sturdy watch. They also solved the most common problem with watches that made them fail to survive impacts. In most watch indexes are applied which is why the dial breaks due to hard impact but in I.N.O.X the indexes are actually stamped to it which makes it tough enough to survive a 64- ton tank.
Straps are made of rubber giving it a military look and hands of minutes and hours are luminescent so you will be able to see time even in dark places. In the end, I.N.O.X is a watch created to last with amazing characteristics. It is sturdy with amazing survivability but at the same time it is sleek, stylish and will look perfect on your wrist. The stainless steel is polished and sculpted to catch the light. Watch will be available in September 2014 so better ready your wallets if you like tough watches and not just any tough but tough enough to survive a 64-ton tank!
